VOLTAGE REGULATOR DC-DC 5V

hello, i will make voltage regulator.

voltage regulator will reduce the voltage 12 VDC to 5 VDC. why it should be lowered to 5 VDC ? the reason being the microcontroller usually works on voltage 3.3 VDC to 5 VDC.

What components are needed ?

1. Resisitor 1K ohm

2. PIN Header or socket (dual)

3. cable

4. IC 7805 (Voltage regulator)
